Ok, so...
If you're here you probably know me. If you don't, well: Hello!
My name is Jade Bennett. I am 26 years old at the moment. A little over a year ago I met a wonderful man who changed my life. Now, this isn't going to be an ooey gooey blog about how awesome our love is and whatever else, but seriously, it's pretty awesome.
So, anyway, yes, about a year ago I met a wonderful man named Gino Matteo. He is by far the most amazing musician I have ever had the honor of knowing and I get to marry him soon! Anyhow, we play music together a lot. We met a jam and have pretty much been inseparable ever since. We both are struggling musicians, but we wouldn't have it any other way. :)
I've never had a blog before, but I was thinking maybe it would be a great idea for me to kind of have some sort of documentation and outlet for my life. I don't know how to really start this, I figure I won't bore you to death by telling my life story but rather let this blog do that for me.
I'll start with today. Today? Hmm...
Ok, well, let's back up. I said I was a musician? Well that's if you count your voice as an instrument! haha! But, no excuses anymore, Gino is a fabulous guitar teacher so yesterday he started giving me lessons. Wow! My fingers are killing me but I feel like I am learning SO much!!
My nails? Taking a beating and I am rebuilding my calluses.
Oh, and I just didn't pick up the guitar for the first time, started playing when I was 14, learned the basics and never pushed myself any further.
The reason I have decided to pick it up again is because honestly, Gino and our band are some AMAZING musicians. I have a lot of people tell me how wonderful they think my singing is, but I feel as a musician and person, I need to work on making myself more valuable. Shouldn't we do that everyday in anyway?
Anyway, I don't want to make this too long. But I will keep this updated as much as I can!
